We offer tests for two complementary cardio specific proteins:
- h-FABP (heart specific Fatty Acid Binding Protein) and
- cTnI (cardiac Troponin I)
h-FABP is an early cardiac-specific marker. It can be detected very early after onset of symptoms and, thus allows early triaging of patients suspected of having an acute myocardial infarction. cTnI in contrast is a late marker. It takes more time to show up, but stays elevated much longer. The Troponins represent the classical gold standard for diagnosis of AMI.
We offer both marker separately and together as a cardiac panel.
